Played Mario Kart for the first time in ages & confirmed I'm still awesome at it. In this economy, it's important to keep your skills sharp. - @anildash
I expect Anil Dash to receive a credible offer to join the Formula Four Mushroom Mario Kart circuit in the next two weeks. He in no way initiated the conversation, nor is he in an any way unhappy with Six Apart.
Based on discussions so far, it looks like the offer would focus on DS Desert Hills, or possibly Wario Stadium. He's discussed a number of possible karts, most of them with strong acceleration and off-road attributes, either advocating their increased and correct use within Formula Four, and/or engaging in off road communities on Formula Four’s behalf. Bikes are an additional option.
Dash would expect to continue working Rainbow Road, Baby Park, and Peach Beach though any role may end up changing a bit for the latter two. Relocation is not an option at this time.
Caesar L#1 Everyone is not altruistic. Most moerhts can pay a lot tuition fee for their children but can not donate 100 dollars for other children. It's the natural character of human, everyone is selfish. There are poor and rich all over the world, and the poor people dont get a lot donation. It's a capotalism society, and people get money by their own job. The rich people always dream they can have better life even they live really good. So greed is limitless. It makes people can not be altruistic.#2 People should think of the reasons when they help others. There is a story from Janpanese cartoon. A young clever monk named Yixiu. He was a kind person who really liked to help others. One day a lot poor people came to the temple, and they are very hungry. Yixiu felt they were pitiful, and made Baozei for them. They ate and leave the temple. Yixiu's master was also a nice elder monk, but he is angry and told Yixiu he shouldn't do that. The reason is help is just for a short time, and people live on the world must by themselves. Poor people can work hard to improve their leaves. So when helping others, we must think if we should do that. The helping maybe bad for the others.

(Electronics) [Anyone remembers the aencint "I am not going to spend a lot for this muffler" commercial?] The 3-6 ft. are the optimum lengths to connect most electronics. I am really using 3 ft. cables whenever the connected devices happen to be very close to each other. Just in case someone may feel guilty for not paying a lot more for a premium brand, it should be stated that at this lengths 3-6 ft., you will get as excellent a service from a no-brand cable as you would from a super-expensive rip-off. An HDMI 1.3x cable should be able to carry, error free, all the signal your electronic equipment may place out. The FUD campaigns, trying to attract buyers toward the more expensive brands make a series of claims. I will address them, as they may apply to this specific cable. - Signal attenuation is less over a more expensive cable. RIGHT, BUT that's irrelevant on a 3-6 ft. length. The HDMI consortium stated that even the cables that were not certified' as Category 2 or High-Speed' will meet the requirements at lengths of 6 ft. or less. At 3-6 ft., it would be a waste to consider an expensive' alternative. In addition, the newer devices have sufficient processing power and are sensitive enough to properly interpret even the more ambiguous digits' they receive. - The expensive cables are better engineered and their contacts are less likely to break. RIGHT, BUT how many times is one going to plug/unplug an HDMI cable in and out of an HDMI socket over the cable's lifetime? 5 times? 10 times? The better engineered' claim has no practical importance. If your cable works on day one' the odds are that it will be left in the back of your box for many months or years before it is unplugged and plugged back in. If this cable is bought for home use, the better engineered' claim should not be of a major concern. - The more expensive cables are future proof'. NOT RIGHT. Claims are made that, if you buy the more expensive wires you won't have to buy new ones when new standards' emerge because the more expensive wire will support them. This is untrue on 2 different levels. First, your cheap cable was bought to work with some very specific devices which need HDMI 1.3 and will never support the new standard'. The new standards will be supported by new electronic devices but, for as long as you keep the existing ones, you will still need this cable to connect them. Second, the emerging HDMI 1.4 specs call for new features such as an Ethernet channel and an audio return channel, both of which can't be supported by the existing HDMI 1.3 cables so, no matter how large a bandwidth the existing expensive cables may support, it won't matter because you still won't able to use them if you are to take full advantage of an HDMI 1.4 device so there goes your $5 invesment or your $200, depending on your having bought a cheap' or a top of the line' HDMI cable. ________________________________________ Here are the HDMI 1.3 specs supported by both this cable and its more expensive alternatives. Maximum signal bandwidth (MHz)340 Maximum TMDS bandwidth (Gbit/s)10.2 Maximum video bandwidth (Gbit/s) 8.16 Maximum audio bandwidth (Mbit/s) 36.86 Maximum Color Depth (bit/px)48 Maximum resolution over single link at 24-bit/px2560d71600p75 Maximum resolution over single link at 30-bit/px2560d71600p60 Maximum resolution over single link at 36-bit/px1920x1200p75 Maximum resolution over single link at 48-bit/px1920d71200p60 sRGB YCbCr 8 channel LPCM/192 kHz/24-bit audio capability Blu-ray Disc video and audio at full resolution Consumer Electronic Control (CEC) DVD-Audio support Super Audio CD (DSD) support Deep Color xvYCC Auto lip-sync Dolby TrueHD bitstream capable DTS-HD Master Audio bitstream capable Updated list of CEC commands (only on HDMI 1.3a,b,c) ________________________________________ My personal experience: I've never paid a lot' for an HDMI cable because it makes no sense to pay more. I took home one of the expensive' ones once because the salesman promised to take it back if I wasn't amazed by the difference. It made zero difference and I returned it.

Don’t spend your time with envy. Sometimes you are forward, sometimes behind. The competition is long and in the end its only with yourself.

Well I have a Wii. When I first got it it came with wii sports(a game) but the wii is now one of the hesradt gaming systems to get in the world! I got mine like 2 years ago. add on: alot of people are saying that the controls break easily they dont unless you throw it across the room that would happen to every kind of controler. And the wii is sooo much better because on most of the games you have to move around like the new dancing game you get exercise but when using a ps3 your just sitting there doing nothing but pressing buttons! Like on most shooting games and sword fighting games you actually move and swing the controller like a sword or whatever. The controller has a wrist strap so if you swing when playing baseball or tennis or golf or boxing the controller wont fall off your hand and break for tv or the controller its self. Even though its one of the hesradt gaming systems to get in the world now its worth trying! sooner or later you will probably have one and you will be so happy! im 12 too and its pretty aweasome!

Thanks for the vocabulary lssoen Rita. I was referring to Republican as opposed to Democrat. My point was most Americans are not ready to become socialists. The liberal left appears to want socialism. They think it can be forced upon the whole country, because they won an election. I dont think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

As a kid i was obsessed with the anime cards and had a toy colticleon, nowadays I hardly see anyone like that anymore. Though the games and anime are still pretty huge, alot of areas have kind of died out. The card game situation though doesn't seem like its dying because of pokemon. I think that the whole childrens tcgs have really died down over the years. At my little brothers primary school, I see alot of people on ipod and ds, and I think that because of still wide popularity, the games wont die out for a while. I do however think the series might get bland when they've made, like 1000 or so pokemon.

I have to disagree, here in the UK Pok mon is very much in with a lot of young adtlus and older teens picking up a copy of HG/SS or BW and playing, a lot of people (at least where I'm from) still obsess over pikachu, and they may ever only talk about the first 250 or so pok mon but they're always saying things like "Oh my God the new Pok mon was on TV last night, I'm getting that next payday" and that's why Pok mon will never die.
