You've reached the personal blog of David Jacobs. I live in New York City, and I'm eating two hamburgers a week on doctor's orders. When you're done with the front page, you can read
the archives.
You can keep up with me elsewhere on
my reblog,
my vox blog,
randomWalks or
flickr, and last but not least, my
Typepad profile.
So if Baby Jacobs is born in France...

Eyjafjallajokull is a terrible middle name so get back here

Hey, please respect the umlaut. It's Eyjafjallajökull.
I actually spoke on the phone with someone from Delta - a minor miracle. No improvement in the flight back, but it's nice to talk to a human. The issue is not just the incredible backlog, it's also that the planes and the pilot and crew are all in the wrong places.

Does that mean the baby's name will be Jö?

Right now Baby Jacobs is a citizen of Minnesota. We are VERY excited to be in Minnesota.

Are you coming back to NYC as I type?

As you typed, we were on our way back to NYC! We're back now, but a
bit groggy. Long trip!

And just like that, David and Adrianna are never going on vacation again.
