The comparison is obvious, but I'm pleased that Armond White and I both came to the same conclusion ("Hollywood cliché") that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is nothing more than a "reworking [of] both Titanic and Forrest Gump." More from White: "Apparently, Fincher is speaking in fanboy code while Roth’s insipid love story pacifies the rabble. Hard to imagine who’ll have the least fun."
Our house recommends The Wrestler, we've already watched it twice.
