I see on Slashdot that it has been 25 years since Super Mario Bros. was released. For me it's been a great year to celebrate this anniversary.
My eldest son turned 4 a couple of weeks back, and has really come into his own as a gamer in the past few months. Not all that long ago, in anticipation of the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2 I decided to replay Super Mario Galaxy with him in the room and to a certain degree I've created a little monster.
I got 117 stars before May and Galaxy 2 rolled around (and actually just got 2 more this past weekend - only Purple Coins on Luigi in Toy Time Galaxy to go!) and entirely and completely at his behest - with absolutely no desire of my own, for real honest why do you keep looking at me like that - acquired all 120 in Super Mario Galaxy 2 (as well as a dozen or so green ones so far).
Over the summer we also tackled Super Mario Bros Wii, though haven't yet acquired enough Star Coins in any one world to unlock a door in the bonus world.
And finally, as an entirely-too-decadent 4th birthday gift (not from me, which kind of gets under my hackles but that is perhaps a complaint for another day) he received a DS as well as New Super Mario Brothers wherein we have only just a few days ago toppled Bowser Jr and the (entirely unsurprising) surprise co-villain to end the game.
My son is definitely a Mario fan. We played a very little bit of Twilight Princess but he hasn't asked for it since that first session, preferring instead to revisit one of the 4 Mario titles we have. Like father like son, I suppose. If I could only play Mario games the rest of my days (and for the next few years at least that may be my reality) I would be a happy person indeed.
I can't believe that it's been 25 years since Mario has been around. Actually, this game is one of my all-time favorites. Anyway, good to know that your son liked it too.

You really get what you pay for with the Rosetta stone language courses . If you’re looking for other benefits, consider that fact that you don’t have to commute to college in order to learn a foreign language. Rosetta stone’s lack of compatibility with PDA’s is not a very serious drawback, especially if you don’t want to drive or walk to school anyway. If you intend to study a language entirely at home, then Rosetta stone is the best alternative to sitting in a class room. Another benefit of utilizing this powerful language learning tool is in preparation for a college course. You can use the software to learn the language and then fly through your college course, get a letter A grade, and apply the credits toward a degree or certificate. I think you will have interests to see rosetta stone discount.
