As Adam Rubin in a post to twitter points out, this is the first game where nothing is at stake for the Mets since the end of the 2005 season.

This hit me for the first time last Thursday, at the ballpark. Even the security guard was praying for rain so we could all go home. It's been a bad year for the Mets, but I miss Baseball already.
