The New New New New Gnu Journalism

Journalists as a whole, have been on pretty good behavior since my friend "Pecan Wombat" revolutionized gardening in an AOL chatroom, but the recent Techweb article about google might have hit a new low. Here's my summary:

2 Years ago, Jason Kottke was smart. 1 year ago, Jason Kottke was smart and correct. Now he is still writing. Is he still right? Analysts think so: "Yes, he's still right. Keep writing, Mr. Right."

Comments

The LA Times gets in on the act:

Kottke and Danny Sullivan, editor of Search Engine Watch, said Google should even be thinking about selling a Google PC. It could run a version of Linux with Google's search technology built in and include an open-source alternative to the Microsoft Office suite of business software.
Over AIM, Anil Dash notes "[NYC Web Designer Jason] Kottke loves cupcakes while playing mario kart. Sullivan was unavailable for comment."

Welcome

  • Thanks for visiting!
You've reach the personal blog of David Jacobs. I live in New York City, and I'm eating two hamburgers a week on doctor's orders. When you're done with the front page, you can read the archives.
  • You can also read about my company's work on the Apperceptive Blog, and you can keep up with me elsewhere on my reblog, my vox blog, randomWalks or flickr. This should be easier, right?
